Fiona Robertson grew up on the West Coast of Scotland and studied Drawing and Painting at the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art. She is now a full time artist living in North Yorkshire situated between the Moors and the Dales, where she is constantly inspired by the light, colours and textures of the landscape in all seasons.

Fiona has developed her own original style with threads used as her paint. She builds layers of colour and tone using the sewing machine and then builds intricate detail through hand stitch. Her work is highly tactile and evocative of place.
