A iconic piece of Yorkshire – Malham Cove Winter – left Muker today bound for deepest Sussex, bought by a lady who fell for it as soon as she saw it. The painting is a truly stunning piece of work and though I’m very happy it’s sold, I’m pretty sad that it’s left the gallery so soon.
