The Old School Welcomes; Paul Talbot-Greaves

The Old School Muker is thrilled to welcome the paintings of Paul Talbot-Greaves. Paul is an exceptional artist and over the last few months he’s produced a wonderful series of watercolours depicting the iconic Swaledale countryside that surrounds our gallery in Muker.

In Pauls words:

“My work reflects the rugged scenery of the landscape, either in the context of wild places or in the nature of the Pennine hills, where I live. I draw my inspiration from historical connections using layers of colour, texture, shapes and patterns applied with energy and feeling. My main inspiration is light and the effects created by the contrasts of shadows.”

We’re looking forward to showing Paul’s paintings later in March – we’ll let you know when as soon as they’re hung on the wall – and will publish more of his work on our website over the comings days.

If you’re interested in discovering more about Paul’s work, what better excuse is there for a trip up the dale to visit the gallery and say hello. If for any reason you can’t make it, but would still like to find out more, please don’t hesitate to get in touch via our contact page.
